Stacy Spangler Art Online Studio/Creating In Him Retreat September 2024

Creating In Him

Painting Retreat

Thursday, September 19-Sunday, September 22, 2024

I believe we are all created to create in some form or fashion. Genesis 1:27 it says "so God created mankind in his own image", and oh boy, is He ever creative! He fashioned us each with our own interests, passions, talents, abilities and special view of the world. Our creativity helps us connect with others, tell stories and brings more joy and beauty to those around us. And in creating for His glory, we are being image bearers of God. Creativity is a worthy pursuit!

Invest in yourself for a weekend! Whether you paint as a hobby or as a profession, this is a perfect way to recharge your spirit and your creativity. Connect with God and other creatives in a faith-based environment where we can learn, grow, share, laugh, and paint the weekend away.

Enjoy two and a half days of mixed media painting instruction with artist and instructor, Stacy Spangler, and explore your God-given creative calling with artist and life coach, Stephanie Ackerman.

Painting instruction will be for a mixed media floral painting and will include supplies, warm up exercises, inspiration and planning, basic composition tips and color mixing/theory, mixed media techniques, exploration of your unique style, steps for painting and finishing touches.

Creative Coaching sessions will include daily devotionals, time for reflection and studying God's word with discussion.

If you want to sleep through breakfast, no judgment given! If you need to take a nap, take a nap! If you want to stay up all night and paint, no one will complain! The house is large and there is room to get away if you are like me and just need some quiet. Enjoy the porch, hang out on the living room couch or retreat upstairs.
